Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK) (�Nighthawk�), a leading provider of wireless and IP-based control devices and solutions, announced today that it has received an initial order for 695 of its new, two-way whole house disconnect devices. El Paso Electric generates and distributes electricity through an interconnected system to approximately 361,000 customers in the Rio Grande Valley in west Texas and southern New Mexico. Nighthawk announced earlier this week that it was offering a suite of proprietary products that utilize a new, two-way wireless communications platform, and expects to deliver the products to El Paso Electric during the first quarter of 2009. Nighthawk�s new CEO800 series of whole house disconnect units incorporate the two-way technology, which allows the utility to monitor the status of the electrical service at the customer�s house via Nighthawk�s Utility WebConnectTM software. Additional features, such as current limiting and back-feed detection, are also available to the utility with the CEO800 products. Like the predecessor CEO700, the CEO800 will save utilities time, effort and money associated with the traditional manual method of pulling meters to disconnect service to customers by eliminating truck rolls. Wireless reconnections of service will also improve response times for the utilities, improving customer service. H.
