The Annual Report on Form 20-F of Viewtran Group, Inc. (the “Company”) could not be filed within the prescribed time period because the valuation for certain intangible assets could not be completed in a timely fashion. As a result, the Company requires additional time to complete its consolidated financial statements.

Exhibit A

 

The Company anticipates that there will be material differences to the Company’s change in results of operations from the corresponding period for the last fiscal year dues the discontinuation of certain businesses. However, the Company is not currently able to provide an estimate of such differences because, in part, the Company has not be able to complete the valuation of certain intangible assets.
