Abbeycrest appoints Group Finance Director

Abbeycrest plc ("Abbeycrest" or the "Company") announces the appointment of Mark Birchall to the Board as Group Finance Director, with effect from 1 January 2012.

Mark Birchall, aged 43, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has an MBA and a PGCert in coaching. He is joining Abbeycrest from his own consultancy company that has provided interim finance and restructuring support since 2009. Prior to that, he spent 10 years as Finance Director of Global Invacom Limited through a period of GBP30m sales growth.

Further to the announcement on 23 September 2011, Simon Lazenby is to step down from the Board on 31 December 2011. Simon Ashton, Executive Chairman of Abbeycrest, said "I would like to thank Simon Lazenby for his valuable contribution to the Company and welcome Mark to the Board."

There are no further disclosures relating to Mark Birchall required under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
