     Armour Trust plc ("Armour Trust" or the "Company")
                              
                        Board change

In the report and accounts which was sent to shareholders on
24  August  1999,  the  Chairman made reference  to  Charles
Montanaro's  wish to retire from the board of  Armour  Trust
(the "Board") at the Company's Annual General Meeting due to
the  demands of his other business commitments.  The  Annual
General  Meeting was held today and consequently  the  Board
would  like  to  reiterate their thanks to  Charles  on  his
retirement  from the Board for the significant  contribution
he has made as a director of the Group.
