Clean Diesel splits Chairman and Chief Executive Officer roles

STAMFORD, CT (June 13, 2003) . . . Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (CDT) (EBB:
CDTI & AIM:CDT/CDTS) announces the appointment of Derek  R. Gray as
non-executive Chairman with immediate effect.  Mr Gray, a director of the
company since 1998, takes over as Chairman from Jeremy D. Peter-Hoblyn who
continues as Chief Executive Officer.

This change is in line with the decision, announced a year ago and confirmed at
the company's 2003 annual general meeting held on 11 June 2003, to split the
roles of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
