As recommended by the AIC, with effect from 1 June 2008, net asset values are calculated on both a capital and a cum-income basis.

Charter European Trust PLC announces that at close of business on 6 February 2012:

   1)   the capital net asset value per ordinary share was 225.16p. 
   2)   including shares held in treasury, the capital net asset value per ordinary share was 223.88p. 
   3)   the cum-income net asset value per ordinary share was 224.84p.

4) including shares held in treasury, the cum-income net asset value per ordinary share was 223.59p.
