    ClearSpeed Technology plc received notification on 10 October 2008 that Richard Farleigh, Chairman of the Company, purchased 200,000
ordinary shares of 1p each, at a price of 9 pence per share.  

    Following the above transaction, Richard Farleigh now holds 18,236,072 ordinary shares representing 29.12 per cent. of the issued share
capital.
