'Peddlers' selected to represent India at Cannes Critics' Week

Eros International Plc, a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry, announces that 'Peddlers', the film co-produced by Eros and Anurag Kashyap Productions, and directed by first time Director, Vasan Bala, has been selected to represent India at the 51st edition of Cannes Critics' Week, a parallel section of the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival.

Founded in 1962, Cannes Critics' Week is the oldest parallel competitive section of the Cannes Film Festival. It showcases first and second feature films by Directors from all over the world and only selects seven feature films each year. It has a long-established tradition of discovering new talents including: Bernardo Bertolucci, Guillermo del Toro, Ken Loach, Wong Kar-wai and Denys Arcand.

Peddlers is a Hindi thriller, set in Mumbai, and has two parallel love stories; one between a policeman and his married neighbour; and the other between a runaway and an immigrant.
