                                 Trading update

Helesi (AIM: HLS), the Greece, Italy and Cyprus based waste management products
manufacturer and services supplier, announces a trading update for the six month
period to 30 June 2010.

In its preliminary results for the year to 31 December 2009, announced on 22
April 2010, Helesi stated that it expected that 2010 would be another difficult
year and that the principal focus would be on generating cash to reduce the
level of indebtedness.

The first half of 2010 has indeed been challenging, particularly in Greece, as
markets continued to be very competitive and some activity was constrained by
the hiatus in the availability of Government finance. For the six months to 30
June 2010, the Company expects to report revenue of approximately EUR25 million
(2009: EUR39.2 million) and an EBITDA of approximately EUR3 million (2009: EUR7
million). Reported revenues are lower due to reduced activity in the market
place and a focus on more profitable business. The Company continues to be
managed tightly in the current environment, with an ongoing focus on cost
reduction including the elimination of some personnel costs.

The strenuous efforts of the Company to reduce net debt have been hampered by
the weak financial position of the principal countries in which Helesi operates.
As a result, net debt stood at approximately EUR73 million as at 30 June 2010
(2009: EUR70.7 million). Helesi continues to work closely and cooperatively with
its banks to extend the maturity of its debts The Board remains confident that
the level of indebtedness will start to fall in the second half, as it expects
cash from receivables to be collected, including part of the EUR9.3 million of
outstanding grants from central and local governments.

The Company will be reporting interim results in mid September when further
detail will be given on the first half of 2010 and the outlook for the remainder
of the year.
