    HSBC Global Absolute Limited (the "Company") announces that it has accepted in full the following shares tendered to it at the
applicable net asset value per share as at 30 June 2008: 

    1,556,417 Sterling hedged shares at a price of GBP1.1478 per Sterling hedged share. 

    13,758,880 US dollar shares at a price of USD2.1196 per US dollar share.  

    As a result of this tender offer, the Company holds 1,190,759 Sterling hedged shares and 4,136,576 US dollar shares in treasury. 
Immediately following the tender offer the Company's issued share capital will consist of 11,907,598 Sterling hedged shares (excluding
treasury shares), and 41,365,763 US dollar shares (excluding treasury shares).

    Therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company is 11,907,598 for the Sterling hedged class and 41,365,763 for the US dollar
class. These figures may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required
to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency rules.
