                          ("ID Data" or the "Company")

                        Completion of Sale of credEcard

ID Data Group plc, the smart card solutions company, confirms that, following
shareholder approval at an extraordinary general meeting held on 31 March 2008,
it has completed the disposal of its entire holding in credEcard Group Plc
("credEcard") to the Contis Group Limited ("Contis"), on 31 March 2008.

ID Data received �1.416m in cash for its shares in credEcard and the repayment
of all intercompany loans made to credEcard of �0.819m, giving a total cash
inflow to the Company of �2.235m, before expenses. In addition, ID Data received
31,250 ordinary shares in Contis worth �0.357m, based upon the most recent value
of Contis shares sold to third party investors. Post the transaction, ID Data
will hold 6% of the issued share capital of Contis.

Following the transaction, Peter Cox, CEO of ID Data, owns 48.6% of Contis and,
as previously reported, will continue in his role as CEO of ID Data whilst also
acting as CEO of Contis, until such time as a new CEO for Contis has been
appointed. He also owns 10% of ID Data.

The proceeds of this transaction will be included in the ID Data results for the
year ending 31 March 2008.
