                 Oriel Resources Plc ("Oriel" or the "Company")

                              Exercise of Options

Oriel Resources plc (AIM:ORI, TSX:ORL) announces that options over ordinary
shares of 1p each in the capital of the Company under the Company's share option
scheme were exercised on 6 February 2007.

Details of the options exercised are as follows:

Number of options                           Exercise Price
606,666                                     15p

Accordingly, application will be made for 606,666 ordinary shares of 1p each in
the Company, which will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares, to be
admitted to trading on AIM. The admission is expected to occur on or about 12
February 2007.
