                BOARD CHANGES

Mr   Michael  Dunlop,  Executive  Director  in  charge   of
Quadrants  US  operations, is leaving the  main  board  to
concentrate  his  full  attention  on  development  of  the
Groups profitable and growing US aerospace activities.  He
remains President of Quadrant Precision Manufacturing Inc.

Mr  Peter  Rae,  who holds 4.6 per cent  of  the  Companys
equity,  has today been appointed an Executive Director  of
Quadrant   with   specific  responsibility  for   corporate
development and special projects.

Mr  Rae,  aged  40,  was  most  recently  involved  in  the
transformation  of  SW Wood PLC from a  steel  stockholding
company  into the highly successful printing and  packaging
company now trading as Wyndeham Press Group PLC.

Lord   Rees,  Chairman  of  Quadrant,  commenting  on   the
appointment, said:

"I am delighted that Peter Rae is joining the Board.

In May this year we received the funds from the Placing and
Open  Offer  which provided Quadrant with the resources  to
continue  its recovery programme and this impetus has  been
maintained   with  the  disposal  of  our  loss-making   UK
engineering business announced today.

Peter will bring his skills and experience to realising the
potential of our existing businesses and to investigating a
number  of opportunities which have been presented  to  us.
