                       Change of Significant Shareholding


Strategic Retail plc ("the Company") confirms that on 9 January 2007 it was
notified that Stephen Lundy acquired 50,000 ordinary shares of 0.5p in the share
capital of the Company (each an "Ordinary Share"), in the open market, on 9
January 2007.


Stephen Lundy now holds 990,000 Ordinary Shares (a holding of 4.76% of the
issued Ordinary Shares).
