Vocalis Group PLC ("Vocalis" or the "Company")
 
Vocalis received notification on 8 June 2000 that, following the aggregation
of the funds of Hill Samuel Asset Management Ltd and Scottish Widows
Investment Management Ltd, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership Ltd (the
combined asset management operation has an interest in 2,973,142 Vocalis
shares, representing 6.76 per cent. of the total issued ordinary share capital
of the Company.
