SPRINGFIELD, Va., June 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Versar, Inc.
(NYSE MKT: VSR) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary,
Geo-Marine, Inc., is one of five unrestricted firms that have been
awarded a new prime contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
(USACE), Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, AL. This
Design/Build Contract is to provide repair and renewal services for
Government facilities, systems, and equipment throughout
the United States, U.S.
territories, Japan, and Korea in
support of the Facility Repair and Renewal Program. Task Orders are
intended to provide quick inspection/design/build response for
facility repair, renovation, conversion, alterations, additions,
construction and the procurement/installation of equipment at
Government installations and facilities.
The MATOC contract has a maximum 24-month base period and three
12-month optional order periods, for a total of five years. The
maximum contract capacity is $290
million. Each unrestricted task order issued under this
contract will be competed for by the five firms in that pool.
