DTI Group Ltd (ASX:DTI) (DTI) is pleased to announce the
award of a contract with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART)
for the supply and installation of advanced CCTV surveillance

The contract involves the supply and installation of
surveillance systems on 48 LRVs valued at approximately US$2.6
million (A$3.4 million) plus options for the supply and
installation of an additional 115 LRVs valued at approximately
US$6.3 million (A$8.2 million). Deliveries for the initial 48
systems are expected to commence in the first half of FY17 and will
be delivered over a 12 month period.
Each LRV will be equipped with:
- DTI’s advanced TDR6 digital
surveillance system with integral switching, enhanced ‘dual drive’
redundancy and communications infrastructure for system management
and data downloads
- nine high-definition 6-megapixel
cameras each providing a 360 degree panoramic view of the passenger
area

- multifunction 4G, LTE, 802.11 a/b/g/n
ruggedized router to provide live viewing of passenger
cameras.
The DTI solution will be supplied with full 4G/LTE ‘live’
streaming functionality which includes seamless integration into
the existing station and platform camera systems. DTI will also
provide its comprehensive back-end CCTV management system to
centralise and coordinate the CCTV data and allow video evidence
and system diagnostics to be recovered from LRVs through an on-line
automated CCTV 'booking' system utilising a Wi-Fi network.
DTI's Managing Director, Richard Johnson, commented: "The
selection of the DTI solution by DART builds on DTI’s recent run of
wins in the US rail market and, importantly, is another direct
order with a key transit operator in the US. This project
demonstrates DTI's growing presence in providing advanced
surveillance and information technology solutions and services in
the US mass transit market, which is the biggest market in the
world. Dallas now becomes another city in the US which has DTI
solutions operating across rail or bus networks joining
Philadelphia, and San Francisco.”
“We are pleased with the endorsement of our innovative sixth
generation state-of-the-art TDR6 digital surveillance system. DTI
is committed to ongoing product and system development for the
transit sector building on over 15,000 systems already provided to
the US market to date”, he said.
