FORBIDDEN TECHNOLOGIES PLC (FBT.LN), an online video editing
technology group, Tuesday said its chief executive officer, Stephen
Streater, will replace retiring chairman, Vic Steel, while
marketing and consumer products director, Aziz Musa, becomes chief
executive officer.
At 1346 GMT, shares were down 0.6 pence, or 12%, at 4.8
pence.
SIBANYE GOLD LTD. (SGL.JO), a mining company, Tuesday said it
has entered into an agreement backed by AQUARIUS PLATINUM LTD.'S
(AQPTY) board to buy all of the South Africa-focused platinum
producer's shares for $294 million in cash.
Aquarius Platinum shares +3 pence, or 37%, at 11 pence.
MOSMAN OIL & GAS LTD. (MSMN.LN), an oil and gas group, said
it is ready to progress with its acquisition of 70% of the South
Taranaki Energy Project in New Zealand and that the remaining 30%
will be acquired by HIGH PEAK ROYALTIES LTD. (HPR.AU), after the
cancellation of the previous agreement with WRDLS Pty Ltd.
Mosman Oil & Gas shares -1.1 pence, or 15%, at 6.4
pence.
OXUS GOLD PLC (OXS.LN), a mining company, said it has entered
into a convertible loan note placing agreement with Darwin
Strategic Ltd.
Shares -0.4 pence, or 8.3%, at 3.9 pence.
STANLEY GIBBONS GROUP PLC (SGI.LN), a retailer of collectable
stamps and coins, said it is unlikely it will meet market forecasts
for the full year as a result of weakness in its Asian operations
and illiquidity in high value stock items.
Shares -41 pence, or 28%, at 103 pence.
INDEPENDENT RESOURCES PLC (IRG.LN) and NOSTRA TERRA OIL &
GAS PLC (NTOG.LN) have agreed to create a joint venture to buy 50%
of the oil-producing East Ghazalat concession in Egypt from
TransGlobe GOS Inc. for $3.5 million.
Independent Resources shares +0.2 pence, or 27%, at 1 pence.
Nostra Terra Oil & Gas shares +0.02 pence, or 21%, at 0.1
pence.
GREGGS PLC (GRG.LN), a bakery retailer, reported a 4.9% rise in
own shop like-for-like sales for the 13 weeks to Oct. 3 and said it
expects good sales growth for the full year, slightly ahead of
previous expectations.
Shares +92 pence, or 8.6%, at 1,168 pence.
TED BAKER PLC (TED.LN), a fashion company, reported a 20% jump
in first-half retail sales but said retail sales in August were
adversely impacted by a number of external factors.
Shares -93 pence, or 2.8%, at 3,185 pence.
ROBERT WALTERS PLC (RWA.LN), a staffing company, said the
outlook for the fourth quarter remains positive after reporting a
6% rise in third-quarter net fee income.
Shares -13 pence, or 3%, at 427 pence.
AVON RUBBER PLC (AVON.LN), a dairy and defense products company,
said it anticipates that adjusted operating profit for the year
will be significantly ahead of current market expectations.
Shares +30 pence, or 3.1%, at 990 pence.
