Unified Communications Solution Gives Service Providers Visibility, Insight and Control of their Avaya Midmarket Engagement Solution offering

IR, the leading global provider of proactive performance management software for critical IT infrastructure and communications ecosystems today fully announced its support for the Avaya IP Office platform in its award-winning Prognosis line of communications experience management solutions. Prognosis for UC now gives Service Providers the real-time, 360 degree end-to-end visibility needed to deliver service assurance to customers using Avaya’s midmarket engagement solution.

Fully compliant with Avaya IP Office 9.1, Prognosis has been designed with Service Providers in mind, putting them in the best position to capture market share and drive superior margins when delivering Avaya IP Office Unified Communications-as-a-Service, hybrid or on-premises to mid-sized businesses.

Built for the midmarket, the Avaya IP Office Platform is one of the most powerful and intuitive communications solutions available. Avaya IP Office allows businesses to connect and collaborate in real-time without limitations. All platforms, however, require management in order to ensure a high quality user experience. Prognosis for UC leverages joint development efforts with Avaya to improve operational efficiency for IP Office users, giving them the ability to manage performance and identify issues before they become an issue. Additionally, Prognosis for UC is the only performance management solution to provide in-flight data on Avaya SBC-E, as well as end-to-end voice quality and call visualization.

“Clear and reliable communication is crucial to every company, but maintaining and supporting that level of reliability can be complex and time-consuming, especially for companies without the resources to do so,” said Darc Rasmussen, CEO, IR. “This puts a lot of pressure on Service Providers to keep these customer communication solutions running smoothly and within budget. Prognosis for UC virtually eliminates any issues before their customers even notice, allowing for more time to focus on ongoing services.”

Prognosis for UC gives Avaya IP Office users and Service Providers the ability to understand the hop-by-hop voice path and specific devices that cause quality impairment both in real-time as well as historically. Service Providers will continue to use Prognosis for UC to reduce operational costs while ensuring customer experience and enhanced service level agreements (SLAs) with complete ITIL alignment. Service Providers can now also offer a 5 9’s service based on Avaya IP Office.

The solution is available immediately from Avaya, its channel partners or directly from IR.

“Communications issues like one-way audio and dropped calls are costly not only for any midmarket business, but also the partners that support them,” said Eric Rossman, Vice President, Developer Relations, Avaya. “Prognosis for UC gives our Avaya IP Office customers and partners enterprise-class proactive visibility into their VoIP network to quickly diagnose issues in an intuitive manner, maximizing return of investment through reduced ongoing support and staffing costs.”
