Energias De Portugal 9-Month Power Output Drops 9.3%

Energias de Portugal SA (EDP.LB), the country's largest power
utility, said Thursday that its electricity output dropped 9.3% in
the first nine months of the year.
MAIN FACTS:
-Electricity output in the first nine months of 2012 was 39
terawatt hours, down from 43 terawatt hours reported in the
corresponding period a year earlier.
-Installed capacity was slightly up at 22.7 gigawatts from 22.6
gigawatts in the corresponding period.
-EDP will publish third-quarter financial results Nov. 6, after
the market close.
