                                 Contract Gains


Ferraris Group plc, the medical technology group specialising in cardiac and
pulmonary diagnostics and components for MRI scanners, has been awarded two
contracts for clinical research trials worth a total of US$4.5mn. The work for
two leading pharmaceutical companies will start in 2003.

pulmonary diagnostic equipment as well as manufacturing components for MRI
scanners. Recently, the Collins Medical Division of the Company gained Food &
Drug Administration (FDA) approval for its Infant Pulmonary Laboratory, a unique
product which can measure the lung capability and capacity of infants as young
as four weeks of age.
