US Futures Flat, European Stocks Gain Ahead of Regional PMI Data and US Federal Reserve Chair's Speech

U.S. futures for the S&P 500 were flat and futures for the
Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.1%. Changes in futures do
not necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.
In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 climbed 0.5% in morning trading.
Signify rose 6% and Orpea added 3.8%. On the other hand, Viaplay
Group Series B slipped 79.6%, and MorphoSys fell 6.3%. The FTSE 100
added 0.9%. Other stocks in Europe were up as France's CAC 40
gained 0.5% and Germany's DAX rose 0.5%.
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index dropped 0.1% to 97.87.
In commodities, Brent crude climbed 0.1% to $80.94 a barrel, and
WTI crude rose 0.2% to $76.13 a barrel.
The German 10-year Bund yield was flat at 2.453%, and the yield
on the 10-year U.S. Treasury climbed by 1 basis point to 4.34% from
4.333%. Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
Stocks in Asia were mixed as Japan's Nikkei 225 index declined
0.2%, whereas Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 1.2%. China's
benchmark Shanghai Composite gained 0.1%.
