Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamic Materials Corporation
(DMC) (NASDAQ:BOOM), the world's leading provider of
explosion-welded clad metal plates, today announced that its
Explosive Metalworking business has received two contracts
collectively valued at $8.7 million. The contracts call for the
production of explosion-welded plates to be used in a major nickel
hydrometallurgy project in Madagascar. The orders were placed by
Chinese and European fabricators working on the project. DMC's
explosive welding businesses in France, Sweden and the United
States will each participate in the production process, which will
involve cladding plates of titanium and carbon steel. Both orders
are expected to ship during the first half of fiscal 2007. Yvon
Cariou, president and CEO, said, "The fact that two independent
fabricators have selected DMC to participate in this very large
nickel processing project reflects the important role our products
play in the hydrometallurgy industry. Significant investments are
being made to expand worldwide nickel processing capacity, which we
view as an encouraging sign for DMC." About Dynamic Materials
