All Kids Can Learn activities help students identify their unique
qualities while appreciating those of others WOONSOCKET, R.I., Nov.
26 /PRNewswire/ -- CVS Caremark All Kids Can, in partnership with
Scholastic, announced today the distribution of free teaching
guides and take home activities for families, to inspire students
to discover their own special abilities and qualities and
appreciate unique qualities in others. CVS Caremark All Kids Can is
a program of the CVS Caremark Charitable Trust and CVS Caremark;
Scholastic is the global children's publishing, education and media
company. Targeted to second graders nationwide, CVS Caremark All
Kids Can is providing these guides free to teachers and parents as
part of its commitment to help children of all abilities become the
best they can be. The All Kids Can goals are to support children
with disabilities by raising awareness in schools and local
communities about the importance of inclusion, creating greater
opportunities for physical activity and play, and providing access
to medical rehabilitation and related services. "Every day,
teachers face the challenge of instructing students who have
different learning styles, language proficiencies and knowledge,
while working to build a supportive classroom where every child can

teacher's guide includes an interactive "Class Tree" poster and
language arts lessons, helping students identify and write about
the qualities that make their class -- and each member of it --
special. The lessons also offer tips for varying instruction to
meet the needs of different types of learners. The family take-home
activities include a similar "Family Tree" project and language
