ADRs End Higher, ABB and Akari Therapeutics Trade Actively

International stocks trading in New York closed higher on
Thursday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts
moved up 1.1% to 151.48. The European index rose 1.3% to 146.95.
The Asian index edged up 0.9% to 175.63. The Latin American index
gained 1.4% to 187.60, while the emerging-markets index advanced
1.3% to 294.88.
ABB Ltd. was among those whose ADRs traded actively.
The Swiss technology company gained 2.6% on plans to add a new
manufacturing facility in Albuquerque, N.M.
Akari Therapeutics Plc dived 16% after the clinical-stage
biopharmaceutical company said it will issue around 26.7 million
registered American depositary shares in a registered direct
offering. The offering is in connection with entered definitive
agreements with certain institutional investors and accredited
investors, which is expected to result in gross proceeds of about
$4 million.
