Elon Musk has offered to close his $44 billion deal to buy Twitter Inc. on the terms he originally agreed to, according to a person familiar with the matter. Twitter shares were up 13% to $47.93 before a trading halt, while Tesla Inc. was recently up 0.1% to $242.67 after giving up some of its early Tuesday gains. In July, Mr. Musk said he was terminating the deal, saying Twitter didn't provide necessary information about spam and bots, and Twitter sued him to enforce the merger agreement.
