Please note that on 27 January 2004, Interserve Plc (the "Company") was
notified that Aviva plc (and its subsidiary Morley Fund Management Limited),
were interested in 13,052,182 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company,
representing an aggregate total of 11.47% of the Company's issued share
capital.
