Broadview Closes Sale of Assets to University of Toronto Press

Broadview Press (TSX VENTURE:BDP) announces that its agreement with the
University of Toronto Press, as previously announced on March 19, under the
terms of which UTP acquires Broadview's lists in the Social Sciences and
History, closed on May 1.


The majority of Broadview's publishing has been in the two Humanities
disciplines of English Studies and Philosophy and the Company will be focusing
its ongoing publishing program and marketing resources on these two areas in
which it has been achieving the bulk of its sales.
