Primary Petroleum Corporation (TSX VENTURE: PIE)(PINK SHEETS: PETEF) ("Primary" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has secured over 200,000 net acres (312 sections) to our Area of Interest in the Alberta Basin Bakken Fairway of western Montana.

"Our land acquisition strategy, based on identifying geological trends with prospective hydrocarbon potential, is to continue to acquire key acreage to add to our existing land holdings," comments Mike Marrandino, President & CEO. Primary has commenced a seismic modeling evaluation on its' existing 26 sq. mi. proprietary 3D seismic data, shot in 2008, to aid in the selection of optimum drilling locations. As well, the Company is contemplating the acquisition of additional 3D seismic over its' lands as it continues to prepare for the commencement of a drilling program in 2011. Primary's ongoing dialogue with industry in choosing the right joint venture partner on a 'drill to earn' basis remains a high priority.
