Anglo American Platinum said Thursday that it has appointed Craig Miller as new chief executive officer, replacing Natascha Viljoen, effective Oct. 1.

Miller has been the finance director of the South African precious metals company, which is majority-owned by Anglo American, since 2019.

The recruitment process for Miller's successor is underway, the company said.
