Senator Insulza: "We Have a Future as Chile's Great Northern and Strategic Gateway"
Privileged and unique conditions in the region enhance the development of Green Hydrogen, which has become an open concern among relevant actors in academia, the economy and local authorities.
What began years ago with pre-investment studies for Green Hydrogen projects, involving the interest of the European Union in conjunction with our sectoral government authorities, has evolved into a proposal, here and now, from Disruptive Hydrogen Technologies DHT Energy Corp.
"It should be noted that it is a multinational company, based in Canada, led by managers with experience in renewable energies in large projects on a global scale, which promotes the sustainable growth of the economy in its challenging fight against the effects of climate change," said the senator of Arica and Parinacota JosΓ© Miguel Insulza.
For this reason, DHT Energy Corp has set its sights on the region of Arica and Parinacota, attracted by its abundance of rich resources of both renewable and solar energy, being one of the most irradiated on the planet and whose proximity to the coast, accentuates its attractiveness for the export of green ammonia to international markets in Asia Pacific. the senator acknowledged.
Senator Insulza, dedicated to promoting development in the region, reveals the company's interest in learning about the initiatives of regional authorities for the production of hydrogen and green ammonia, "stimulated by tax benefits, through the Arica Law, which the region exclusively has committed to the search for social capital through universities and research centers, as well as local companies, for the start of environmental studies and sectoral permits that would make up the Arica Green Hydrogen consortium, consisting of the construction of a plant to produce 325 tons of green hydrogen per day and 1800 tons of green ammonia per day to be transported to international markets," he said.
In this regard, Senator Insulza highlights that the regional government of Arica and Parinacota has reserved 20,000 hectares for the creation of a solar park for the production of renewable energy, necessary for the electrolysis of green hydrogen on a large scale. In this way, it is possible to project a new economy based on knowledge and engineering, where the State, universities, and companies work collaboratively as partners in a regional development strategy.
"These projected investment lines in the region would involve around US$6.5 billion, opening job opportunities for 3,000 high-level professionals and technicians and multiple specialties, with industrial growth accompanied by technological development in regional research centers. Thus, certainly, we are referring to a larger regional development project that, going beyond the mere export of commodities such as ammonium and lithium, creates a new economic reality with high added value," Insulza said.
Senator JosΓ© Miguel Insulza states that it is time to demand and take on challenges focused on the strategic potential of the northern gateway of all Chileans, "for the production of green hydrogen, a large amount of renewable energy is required, mainly from photovoltaic generation available in the region, in addition to tidal energy from its sea waves, wind power and its storage in lithium battery systems.

BOOOM! One of the largest waste-to-energy (WtE) projects in Africa, the City of Ekurhuleni ------BOOOM!
I must be on a board loaded with Cistercian Monks with vows of silence... (SMH) My post about the waste to energy project proves their business model...Period!
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=175527191
It was poorly written, had to wing it, time issues.
This should have been included in the post. Tender number P-EE 01/2017 can be looked up on the city of Ekurhuleni website.
Bids awarded for May 2017

That together with Eskoms PPA Rates and build timeline should be enough to convince even the biggest critics.

Also, HYFI Corp and MAHLAMBA NDLOPFU WASTE 2 ENERGY GLOBAL SA CONSORTIUM shares the same business address.

I invite anyone to dispute these facts.
BTW three WTE 33MW Plants were awarded and at least one of them to HYFI and here is how much funding may be needed.
