Danish bio-technology firm Novozymes A/S (NZYM-B.KO) Thursday
reported a 13% jump in third-quarter net profit and raised its
full-year outlook for both operating and net profit.
Third-quarter net profit rose to 639 million Danish kroner ($109
million) from 568 million kroner in the year-earlier quarter, on
revenue of 3.18 billion kroner, compared to 2.94 billion kroner a
year ago.
Quarterly operating profit was 831 million kroner, up from 755
million kroner.
The company said it now expects full year operating profit to
grow by 14%-15%, and full year net profit to grow by 13%-14%,
partly driven by a favorable development in currency exchange rates
and a slightly higher contribution from The BioAg Alliance.
Previously, Novozymes expected full-year net and operating
profit to increase by 9%-11% on the year.
