ISSUE OF EQUITY

BioScience VCT plc announces that on 10 June 2004 the Company issued and
allotted 6,000 new ordinary shares of 50p each. The new shares were issued to 2
subscribers for cash, at a price of 100p each. The issued share capital of the
Company is now 7,590,393 ordinary shares.

Application will be made for admission of the new ordinary shares to trading on
the London Stock Exchange as soon as practicable.
