                                BOARD CHANGES


The Board of Celtic plc announces that Frank O'Callaghan has formally taken
over the position of Chairman of the Celtic plc Board.  Allan McDonald is
now acting as Chief Executive designate.

Retiring Chairman and Managing Director Fergus McCann will be continuing as
non-executive Director.

The Board formally recorded their great appreciation of the considerable
contribution of Fergus McCann in his roles as Chairman of Celtic plc,
Managing Director and majority shareholder.

New Chairman Frank O'Callaghan commented:

"Fergus McCann's contribution to Celtic's progress over the last five years
has been considerable. The Board, along I am sure with everyone else who has
Celtic's interests at heart, would like to express our great appreciation of
the direction and success Fergus has brought to the Club.  We are delighted
that he will be continuing as a non-executive Director."
