                             Holding in Company

Elitel Telecom S.p.A. ("the Company") (AIM: ETM), the independent Italian
telecommunications group, received  notification today that, following an
acquisition of shares in the Company on 27 July 2006, FCRP Part'Com have a 
notifiable interest in 1,587,820 ordinary shares, representing 4.17 per cent. of
the Company's issued ordinary share  capital.
