                                Grant of Options


The Company announces that on 17 October 2002 options over ordinary shares of
0.25p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") were granted under the Company's
Share Option Scheme to all employees of the Company, including the executive
Directors. The options are exercisable at any time between 3 and 10 years of the
date of grant at 17p per share, based upon the average of the closing middle
market price of an Ordinary Share for the three business days prior to the date
of grant. The number of options granted to the executive Directors were as
follows:
