CAE awarded C$45 million support services contract for NFTC
MONTREAL, May 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) -
Bombardier Military Aviation Training has awarded CAE a 15-year
contract valued at approximately C$45 million to provide
maintenance and support services for the NATO Flying Training in
Canada (NFTC) program. Under the terms of the NFTC Maintenance and
Support Services contract, CAE will provide a full range of support
services for a total of five flight training devices (FTDs): three
T-6A FTDs and one Hawk FTD located at Canadian Forces Base (CFB)
Moose Jaw, and one Hawk FTD at CFB Cold Lake. CAE will provide such
services as contractor logistics support, software configuration
management, software/hardware maintenance and obsolescence
management. "The NFTC program is one of the world's premier pilot
training programs used by the Canadian Forces and other NATO and
non-NATO countries," said Donald W. Campbell, CAE's Group

simulation equipment that plays an integral role in the overall
pilot training program." In operation since 2000, NFTC is a
cooperative approach to training military pilots based on a
partnership arrangement between the Government of Canada and
industry. Joint cooperation with the Canadian Forces has created a
comprehensive fighter pilot training program which combines basic,
advanced and fighter lead-in training. Nations participating in the
program to date include Denmark, the United Kingdom, the Republic
of Singapore, Italy, Hungary and Canada. CAE is a leading provider
