CAE secures its 10th and 11th full-flight simulator orders
MONTREAL, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) -
CAE has signed a term sheet with US Airways for the delivery of two
full-flight simulators. So far in this fiscal year, CAE has secured
11 of the 12 announced worldwide competed simulator orders,
compared to a total of 11 for all of last year. The term sheet
involves the delivery of one EMBRAER 170 and one Bombardier CRJ200
full-flight simulator. Final agreement, including financing terms,
is expected within 30 days. Under the agreement, US Airways would
take delivery of the CRJ200 in spring 2004, while the EMBRAER 170
delivery would occur in August of that same year. "US Airways and
CAE have forged a solid business relationship that is going on
close to 25 years. We turn to CAE repeatedly for our training needs
because the company consistently provides us with high-quality,
leading-edge training equipment that we can rely on," said N. Bruce
Ashby, president, US Airways Express. "CAE delivers on time and is
very responsive to our short- and long-term requirements,
throughout the various phases during simulation build time." All
full-flight simulators currently operated by US Airways are CAE-
built. "We are able to deliver to US Airways the equipment that
will satisfy their regional training requirements," said Nick

simulation and training. "Increasingly, regional airlines are

CAE's simulator orders so far this fiscal year include contracts to
provide JetBlue Airways with four Airbus A320 and two EMBRAER 190
full-flight simulators, Airbus with two A380 full-flight simulators
and China Eastern Airlines with a Boeing 737-800 full-flight
simulator. All of the simulators, including US Airways' two orders,
will be equipped with the CAE Tropos(TM) visual system. CAE is a
