Reports are coming in from traders that Bloomberg terminals are not working this morning. Traders have taken to social media to complain about the outage.

Users reported that their Terminal screens had gone blank. No data is showing, but the Terminal’s IB messaging function is still working.

The company said on Bloomberg Television that the terminal was experiencing technical difficulties that it was addressing. Bloomberg’s help desk posted a message at 9.55am saying it was “currently experiencing a global Terminal issue”.

Downdetector, a site which reports on user problems with websites and services, says that “User reports indicate possible problems at Bloomberg” with a spike in outages reported since 9.00am this morning.

The problems have forced the UK Debt Management Office to extend the gilt auction window.
