Pod Point Group Holdings PLC (LSE:PODP) has introduced Pod Drive, a groundbreaking subscription-based service designed to make home electric vehicle (EV) charging more accessible and affordable. The service dramatically cuts the initial installation cost of a home charger from £1,249 to just £99, with customers paying a £40 monthly subscription.

This new offering includes the Pod Point Solo 3S charger, professional installation, and a 48-hour service-level agreement, providing customers with a hassle-free experience. Additionally, Pod Drive includes cashback rewards for up to 7,500 smart-charged miles annually, helping households reduce their energy expenses.

Pod Drive is part of a strategic evolution for Pod Point as it transitions from selling hardware alone to offering a complete charging-as-a-service model. Key partnerships with brands like Tesco and Mazda are supporting the rollout, with further collaborations in the pipeline.
