Transcat, Inc. (Nasdaq:TRNS) announced today that it has relocated its Los Angeles laboratory from Anaheim to a larger, updated service facility in Fullerton, California. Transcat is a leading provider of accredited calibration and compliance services and distributor of professional grade handheld test, measurement and control instrumentation.

Lee D. Rudow, President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, “Our newly relocated Los Angeles calibration lab is a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Southern California’s life sciences cluster. In addition to being larger to accommodate customer demand, the lab has enhanced capabilities with additional metrology equipment and is staffed with highly experienced technicians. The location is ideal as it provides greater flexibility for customers representing the wealth of life sciences, healthcare, aerospace and technology manufacturing companies in the area. We are excited to continue to provide the responsive and high quality service our customers have come to expect from us in this dynamic market.”

In addition to the strategic location of the new laboratory, the lab’s enhanced capabilities include primary/reference mass capability, a Thunder Scientific humidity chamber, a single axis vision system, advanced torque capability and improved pressure capabilities. The Los Angeles laboratory provides calibration services as part of Transcat’s network of labs for over 119,000 instruments from more than 7,800 manufacturers, including expertise in dimensional, electrical, RF, temperature/humidity, pressure, vacuum, flow, precision mass, torque, optics and more.
