Kalahari Minerals, the AIM listed mining exploration group with a portfolio of copper, base metal and uranium interests in Namibia, said Tuesday that it was notified on Feb. 16 that Rio Tinto International Holdings Australia Pty purchased 3,450,000 ordinary shares on Feb. 12 (1.93%).

This purchase raises Rio's total interest in Kalahari to 28,267,310 ordinary shares (15.8%).
