New Zealand's Pumpkin Patch: Will Sell Products Via Amazon In UK, France, Germany
04 April 2012 - 7:49AM
Dow Jones News
New Zealand children's clothing retail chain Pumpkin Patch Ltd.
(PPL.NZ) said Wednesday it has entered an agreement with online
retailer Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) to sell its products via Amazon's
websites in the U.K., France and Germany.
"These types of relationships are an important part of our
international multichannel growth strategy as they allow us to
enter markets that would be hard to enter on our own, with France
and Germany being good examples of that," said Chief Executive Neil
Cowie.
He said it was a strategically important step although "we don't
expect to see noticeable earnings from the Amazon relationship
until the 2014 financial year."
