Berlin-based investing and fundraising platform Neufund has
closed the world’s first IPO using blockchain technology. A total
of 1,017 investors from 34 countries contributed to the capital
raise, with e-mobility manufacturer Greyp raking in €1.4m. Greyp is
backed by both Porsche and T-Mobile and is the sister company of
supercar firm Rimac Automobili. Neufund’s offering allowed the
retail market to invest with a minimum contribution of €100. It was
the first ever fully-compliant Initial Public Offering (IPO) based
on the blockchain. “It’s an exciting day for Neufund and a huge
step forward for the security tokens industry at large. We have
proven that private companies can effectively use blockchain IPOs,
whilst lowering the barrier to entry for retail investors,”
