Today's Wall Street Journal ran an article about Hims & Hers Health, a company that is in the business of telehealth followed by writing prescriptions and shipping drugs to treat various conditions. Their latest push is compounded versions of semaglutide, the weight loss drug.

The article starts out with the line:

There’s a full-blown war over copycat versions of blockbuster obesity drugs. But their days are likely numbered.

As Norvo and Lilly ramp up manufacturing of the "real" GLP-1 drugs they will eventually catch up to the demand and sites like Hims and Hers will crash to the ground.

And where will that leave hangers on like Verb's Vanity Prescribed?

Answer: In the same trash heap as Rory's other addled brain ideas.

I don't think there is any doubt that most of the cash is gone. What source(s) of revenue do their have?

Sure, they are trying to grift money from aspiring entrepreneurs with the GFY show. When word gets out that people aren't raising the funds they need that business will dwindle to nothing. All that's left will be the "investors" filing lawsuits.

The Market.live site is essentially dead. VERB can't even be bothered to post the most recent GFY episodes. The newest one is episode 8.

The Market TikTok channel used to provide a link back to the market.live site so you could see when they were doing livestreams of the $ 3 rings and other crap. That link is gone so I guess they are out of the business of direct selling and shipping.

The Market.live has a list of "TikTok trending products and deals." The first item is something for Pride Month, which means the list of products hasn't been updated in 9 months. In 3 months Pride Month will be back so just as well, I suppose.

The "consulting" business for TikTok sellers can't possibly be bringing in significant revenues.

The Vanity Prescribed site is another joke. There are plenty of well marketed sites just like VP that use the same "virtual doctors" and "virtual pharmacies" to sell weight loss drugs.

Meanwhile Rory pulls down his nearly $ 1 million salary and the board members are paid hundreds of thousands more.

The company is the poster child for insider enrichment schemes.

The world is full of snake oil salesmen and conmen, but what makes Rory and Meltzer stand out in that arena is how they constantly profess to "give back" and to "help others."

They aren't giving back shit. They are taking. And they aren't helping anyone else. They are helping themselves.

Bottom feeders. The pair of them.

Rory's bestie David Meltzer is truly a despicable human being. And why should anyone be surprised?

Below is a link to someone telling their story about getting (paid) coaching advice from Meltzer. The victim/sucker/entrepreneur was told by Meltzer that the solution to her business problem is to spend $ 15 grand so she can book an appearance on the anemic GoFundYourself show. Per the Instagram post, someone put up the money to appear on the show, which suggests that the victim doesn't have that kind of money to drop on anything...let alone to pay for an appearance on a show that no one will see.

What a turd Meltzer is. Sucking money out of people who have very little.

That video was posted to YouTube is the same one that has been on YouTube for 4 months. It has a whopping 625 views. I've seen videos of people shaving their armpits get much wider exposure. Don't judge, BTW.

All of the stuff that is being streamed on Cheddar are episodes that have been available on YouTube for months.

GFY is getting no traction because it's a screwy idea. Some schmuck is going to invest and then s/he will lose it all. They will turn around and sue the "Titans." And even if the disclosures that appear during the show protect Rory and company from liability they are going to have to pay lawyers to defend themselves.

More VERB money pissed down the drain because Rory (and his buddy Meltzer) love to hear their own voices.

Did anyone catch the debut of Go Fund Yourself on Cheddar TV last evening? I wasn't home so I couldn't tune in.

If you go to the Cheddar web site and search for Go Fund Yourself the show doesn't appear. I wonder why that is.

The GFY episodes are available on YouTube which has a MUCH wider audience than Cheddar. And people can watch a YouTube video whenever they want vs. having to watch at a specific time as they do with Cheddar.

And yet, GFY has almost almost no viewership on YouTube. There isn't a single GFY episode that has more than 600 views. And the GFY channel has 120 subscribers. That is pathetic.

The Cheddar deal is another farce put together by Rory and his buddy Meltzer.

Someone on StockTwits posted this link to an article that appeared last Friday on the techfundingnews.com web site: https://techfundingnews.com/whatnot-live-shopping-platform-funding/

Whatnot is an the online shopping business that allows sellers to use video to hawk their wares.

Sounds like a business similar to what VERB hoped to be. Difference is that Whatnot had a 2024 gross merchandise value (GMV) for items sold on its platform of more than $ 3 BILLION. When VERB did their Market Mayhem pitch last summer they were looking to hit $ 100k of GMV in a 24-hour period. That's around $ 36.5 million for a full year. The results of Market Mayhem were never announced, but the Jeep giveaway failed because the GMV goal was not met.

And if you search for the "Win a Jeep" videos that VERB posted you won't find them. They're gone or marked private so you can't see them. Rory covering his tracks of failure once again.

The latest Whatnot financing round puts a valuation of nearly $ 4.5 BILLION for the company. And where does VERB stand? The market cap stands shy of $ 6.2 million.

Rory is a loser's loser. Except when it comes to his salary and benefits in which case he continues to line his own pockets rather nicely.

VERB has simply become a way to take shareholder money and funnel it into the gullets of Rory and his hand picked Board of lackeys.

They allow Rory to treat the company's coffers as if it was an endless pit of money that he uses to fulfill every whim that comes into his fat head. When one business fails to generate meaningful revenue, he ignores that business and starts something new. Wash, rinse, repeat.

The Board grants themselves large compensation both in cash and in company shares.

And the cherry on top is that VERB violates NASDAQ rules and denies shareholders the opportunity to ask questions of management during the annual meeting.

It is truly shameless. Given all that has taken place, anyone who feeds Rory's fever dreams is just stupid.

There is no such thing as this company’s share price “doing well”. It bounces from all time lows and goes back. It’s a horror of a company with no product or sales.

As sure as I am typing this it will create new lows again.

You’re down from 240,000 adjusted from splits and saying it’s doing well???

What you deem negative comments were all warnings and anyone who heeded them saved themselves a nightmare of losses…

Then my post is irrelevant to them since they are no longer shareholders, wouldn't you agree?
👍️0
dukeb dukeb 1 month ago
JR30 seems to be suggesting that the stock is down 99.9% over the last 5 years because posters on iHub are saying negative things about the company.

The 99.9% loss in value has nothing to do with the repeated failures of Rory's "brilliant" ideas and lack of even the most basic business criteria (eg: is there a reasonable prospect for the idea to make money and generate positive cash flow?)

It's all because people say mean things about Rory and his dumb ideas and poor execution.

Each day Rory reminds me of the CEO of a nearly defunct company I followed for years: ZRFY.

At the beginning of each year the CEO (who was once a director at JP Morgan) would issue a PR saying that "This is going to be our year. We have millions in contracts signed that will finally reward our loyal shareholders."

The company pivoted multiple times (although not nearly as many times as VERB) and the CEO kept promising that the latest product was going to be the one that allows the owners to reap huge rewards.

Those revenues would never materialize. The CEO and his two captains drew hundreds of thousands in salary and benefits and the company printed shares like crazy; that money went straight into the pockets of these "executives."

Another year, another PR saying "this is our year to shine!"

In 2024 the company ran out of money and couldn't pay their auditors so the 2023 financials were never produced. The stock now sits on the expert market and, for all intents and purposes, the company is defunct.

Rory and VERB are following the same playbook.

Rory’s message for 2025, is he kidding about last year? Incredible?

“As we get ready to ring in the New Year, we'd just like to say thank you for an incredible 2024! Big things are queued up for us in 2025 and we cannot wait to show you. ?

Here's to all the love and laughs we had this past year, and making new memories in 2025. Stay safe everyone!”
