InterTAN Reports Sales For November TORONTO, Dec. 4
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- InterTAN, Inc. (NYSE: ITN; TSX: ITA), a
leading consumer electronics retailer of both private label and
internationally branded products, today announced that sales of its
Canadian subsidiary in U.S. dollars for the month of November were
$47,755,000. Measured in local currency, total sales were up 4%
compared with the prior year period. On a comparable store basis,
sales for the month were flat compared with the same period a year
ago. "November's overall sales continued to improve and our four
percent increase, while modest, compounds last year's five percent
increase and six percent increase the prior year," commented Brian
E. Levy, President and Chief Executive Officer. "All of our major
categories registered sales improvements with the exception of
satellite television and software/gaming. We're in very good shape
for merchandise, and looking forward to the next several weeks of
