Are they going to do a 8 for 1 Reverse Split. Does anyone here own any shares of HNHAF. I tried buying 100 shares and it kicked out the order. Do you have to go through a broker to buy shares. Not going to take a big risk while rockets are flying over the Island. It’s a Taiwan Company

This stock has been amazing for me. The Stock trades on the Taiwanese Exchange, under ticker 2317.TW. It Trades in Taiwan Dollars. $1 = .036 I bought the stock about a year and half ago. at USD 2,56 it is currently trading at $4 USD. It pays a dividend once a year in July. At current price it is paying 3.75% or .15 USD per share. Just know they take out Taiwanese tax on the dividend. They make all the screens for the Iphone and diversified their operations from only China to India and Vietnam. They just signed a deal with an autonomous car maker and a Hydrogen car maker.

It has done just the opposite of what I posted on the 4th post
of this board. This stock is a mystery for sure.
What is going on?

What is interesting, if you look at this months chart on this
board there has been a huge drop in the last few days from almost
3.00 down to about 2.20. Has the new trade deal with China caused
this drop in share price?

So you, as an investor, knows that they are just
under one ticker now.
Is that true?

They are not in the best of shape now but I believe down
the line with all their thousands of propriatary patents will explode this stock.
I also learned that the Chinese are planning to bring in their
own tech. people to plants in the U.S. because of a shortage of
that work force in the U.S.

Reverse split ratio .08 (8 tenths) share for one:

The fees totals to $0.13/sh -- more than the dividend itself. Furthermore, some of us have to pay income taxes on the Gross dividend of $0.129/sh One would be better off not getting that dividend at all!!!

What is that $0.11/share fee and who is getting that fee. I was charged $.09/sh (titled GDR processing fee) + a flat "reorganization" fee by the brokerage firm. Since the $0.11 and $0.09/sh fee seems to vary with the brokerage firm - and therefore not a fee charged by the custodial bank for the depository receipts for the stock?

Anyone has more info on that fee?

[Normally an ADR processing fee (for foreign stock dividends) is MUCH lower. I don't know what is the difference between ADR and GDR.]

TIA

The equivalent ticker on US markets is HNHPF.

On the Taiwanese market, it is around 2.62 USD per share, but these are US ADR shares for easier access to US investors.

Each share of HNHPF represents (2) common shares of Hon Hai/Foxconn.

That's the one.
I watched the video and got just enough info. to find this ticker.

I have found others in the same manner.

Going to watch this baby close.

Also being pushed by Alex Green's/Oxford Club's single stock retirement plan. Don't bother with the video they put out, they don't mention the ticker, although at the beginning they say they will, they just try to sell you on their club. Search it and you will find a few tickers associated with Foxconn.

I think this is the stock that one investment letter hawker is
pushing to sell his service.
He does mention that it is an electronics company with thousands
of patents in its control and also not well known.

Right on both counts because it actually has over 15,000 patents
it controls and trading volume dictates the other count.

If this thing does eventually take off I will be happy that I
started this ticker on an Ihub message board.

We will soon see!

Why some people make blanket statements like the stock is going to
tank is beyond me.

Thanks for the update.

The plant is in Wisconsin and has already started being built. They also have plans for several more large plants in the United States to be built. As long as they can get employees from our lazy workforce to work there it’ll allow the company to be traded on American exchanges. That is why it’s the best kept secret is because it’s not traded here but when it is mutual funds and institutions will start pouring money into it.
This will be a life changer imo if all this takes place.
Good luck with your investments

Why would you say that?
It has been bouncing from 3.25 down too 2.50 from late 2014.

Do you think it is because of the trade war going on with China?

If you have read all my posts about the huge plant to be built in the US
but maybe that is on hold now due to the trade war.

I am still watching this stock.

DD is the word.

Trump Touts Return of U.S. Manufacturing Jobs at Foxconn Groundbreaking
3:43 pm ET June 28, 2018 (Dow Jones) Print
By Shayndi Raice

MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. -- President Donald Trump said that a $10 billion Foxconn Technology Group mega plant that broke ground in Wisconsin on Thursday is evidence that manufacturing jobs are coming back to America, a key part of his election-year promises.

"As Foxconn has discovered, there is no better place to build, hire and grow than right here in the U.S.," said Mr. Trump, at an event hosted by the Taiwanese company about 25 miles south of Milwaukee in the southeast corner of the state.

It's been nearly a year since Mr. Trump announced in a White House ceremony that the Apple Inc. supplier would be opening a 20 million-square-foot complex and create up to 13,000 jobs in the state. In return, Wisconsin is offering nearly $4 billion in state and local economic incentives.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan said Foxconn will help Wisconsin keep talent and attract new millennials to the state. With record low unemployment of 2.8%, Wisconsin is suffering from a worker shortage and has seen slow population growth.

"This will make us a brain-gain state, not a brain-drain state," said Gov. Walker.

The southeastern part of Wisconsin, where the Foxconn facility will be located, is being dubbed the Wisconn Valley.

"To Silicon Valley and Boston, Wisconn Valley is coming," Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou said at the event.

Mr. Trump spoke to a crowd of several hundred business people, state and local officials who explored Foxconn displays its technology throughout the building before and after the speeches. The company set up manufacturing lines with workers so visitors could see how its plant would ultimately function. The crowd was milder than Mr. Trump's campaign-style rallies. He got some applause when he veered off topic on issues like the Supreme Court, taxes and regulations but the mood was more professional than rowdy.

Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., is the world's largest contract electronics maker. In Wisconsin, the company plans to build liquid-crystal display panels like the kinds used in TVs, self-driving cars and notebook computers and ultimately larger screen displays.

The state incentive package for Foxconn has increased since it was first announced. It includes $2.85 billion in tax credits if the company fulfills its promise on hiring and capital investment and $150 million in sales-tax exemptions. The Village of Mount Pleasant and Racine County provided a separate incentive package worth $764 million. The state is also spending $134 million on fixing state and local roads around the Foxconn site.

Mr. Walker's critics in the state legislature have taken issue with the large incentive package for Foxconn, saying it is a waste of taxpayer money. An independent fiscal analysis last year found taxpayers wouldn't recoup their investment until the 2042-43 fiscal year.

State Senate Minority Leader Jennifer Shilling, a La Crosse Democrat, said the deal was the largest state taxpayer-funded giveaway to a foreign corporation. "Families and seniors in every corner of the state are being stuck with a massive bill at a time when our schools, roads, and communities are being shortchanged," she said.

Gov. Walker has said the project's potential to transform the state's economy makes the large package worth the investment.
