Scotland's largest Local Authority goes live on the Elcom eCommerce

On the initial day of the service availability Glasgow City Council
raised over 200 purchase orders of 900 items, totalling in excess
of 45,000 pounds sterling. Throughout 2006 Glasgow City Council
plan to roll-out ePS across the remaining departments doubling the
current number of users to 900 within the next three months and
over 5000 within the next three years. It is anticipated that the
implementation programme will connect eProcurement Scotl@nd to the
Council's existing systems to provide leading edge, on-line
integrated procurement, tendering and financial processing. The
programme team responsible for implementing eProcurement Scotl@nd
in Glasgow is a model of collaboration and includes members from
Glasgow City Council, the Scottish Executive, the Authorities
