What's new on ADVFN?

There has been a lot going on in the background at ADVFN, but you might not have noticed. Here’s a quick rundown of some of the new tools and features on the site.

News scanner

News Scanner https://uk.advfn.com/news-scanner is a news tool that allows you to filter financial news according to your own parameters and hone in on what’s important and relevant for you. It can be left running all day in your browser and alerts to any news or regulatory announcements that match the keywords/themes or stock symbols you’ve defined.

 

Features:

• Streaming news as it comes out from various news sources
• Custom filters that trigger based on keywords inside press releases and regulatory announcements
• Custom filters that monitor specific stocks/warrants/ETFs/etc that you’re interested in
• Browser tab notification

 

Pre and post market data – toplists and charts  🇺🇸

Toplists have been a feature of the ADVFN site for a long time. However, we’ve recently added premarket and afterhours toplist data and our charts now have pre and afterhours display in intraday.

DeFi

DeFi (decentralised finance) is the new wave in crypto. ADVFN has further expanded its cryptocurrency offering and added a ‘Top DeFi’ list showing information on the top 100 DeFi tokens by market cap:

Stock shorting

We’ve added a list of the ‘100 Most Shorted London Stocks.’ This shows the net short position of each stock (ie the sum of currently disclosed short positions greater than 0.5%). The data also displays the 7-day most increased/decreased short positions as a percentage.
