Think those NFTs you splurged on are worthless? Think again. Today, they can score you some pizza, thanks to a new campaign from Domino’s TLV, which is asking you to give up your NFTs for slices of pie.
A lot of people invested in NFTs when they were at their peak. Then a lot of people were got burned when they crashed. “Reheat Your NFT” from McCann TLV and McCann Worldgroup Romania aims to relief NFT buyers’ regret by consoling them with free Domino’s pizza. All they have to do is dig in their crypto wallets, burn their NFTs and upload the proof to Domino’s dedicated platform to receive a free pizza. If they think their NFTs are worth more, they can negotiate with the brand on social media for even more pizza.
While NFTs once grabbed headlines, they’re now a punchline. After the first NFT, “Quantum,” was minted in 2014, non-fungible tokens saw a meteoric rise in popularity, boosted by the Ethereum blockchain and the passionate support of digital artists. In 2021, Beeple’s “Everydays—The First 5000 Days” sold for $69 million at Christie’s, trading volumes of NFTs reached $13 billion and Collins Dictionary dubbed “NFT” as “the word of the year.”
